Chapter 4: Madam Killer?
Bellini: It’s so warm in my futon! It also feels really nice taking a nap outside. Heh? What was that? That hurt!
Caipiroska: Bellini, sorry! We hit you a little too hard!
Caipirinha: But I’m glad we got you. Maybe you’d straighten up of we hit you with a ball.
Caipiroska: Brother!
MC: What are the three of you doing?
Caipirihna: You’d know just by looking. Caipiroska and I were playing catch.
Ballini: As for me, I got hit in the head with their ball.
Caipiroska: You almost never come out into the garden. Did something happen?
MC: Um… I was wondering if you could help me learn more about cocktails.
Caipirihna: You haven’t learned any recipes yet? What are you stupid?
Caipiroska: Brother, wash your mouth out!
Bellini: But if you want someone to help you study, you’re better off asking Emerald Mist.
MC: I don’t want to learn study methods. I want to learn about everyone else. Ya know, about the cocktails you were named after.
Bellini: Ah, I see.. You mean, like why is my name Bellini? You want to know things like that?
Caipiroska: But you probably already know that, right?
Caipirihna: Loafer friends.
MC: I’m not a loafer anymore!
Bellini: If loafer friends only spell trouble, then what I say won’t help! Um… Ah! Bellini was originally the name of an artist. I heard a memorial was made for his self-exhibitions.
MC: Huh? So, in other words, the picture that’s hanging in your room…
Bellini: I made that! I love painting, but my art looks nothing like Bellini’s works.
Caipiroska: The art Bellini has in his room is so amazing! He’s been told that he should sell some of his paintings.
Caipirihna: But he says it’s bad for him to paint at a time that's chosen for him. Bellini is against that idea. He can’t paint like that.
Bellini: That’s why it’s fun to paint when you feel like it. Right now, I’m looking for someone who will be able to support me.
I nap whenever I want. I paint whenever I want. I eat whenever I want.
MC: Well…I hope you can find them….someone to support you. Caipirihna and Caipiroska, do you think you could tell me about yourselves? The two of you must have a lot of things in common, right?
Caipirihna: Well, even the cocktails we are named after have a lot of commong ingredients.
Caipiroska: When you switch out the carchaca sugarcane liquor with vodka in my brother’s drink, you get a Caipiroska.
Caipirihna: Since a Caipiroska has vodka, I think it becomes easier to drink.
Caipiroska: As for a Caipirihna, it seems like something you would drink since it contains a lot of sugar!
MC: Since it’s a sweet cocktail, I'll try to recommend it to any female customers we get next time they ask.
Caipirihna: It’s sweet and easy to drink, but they might be a bit wary about it after the first glass. These cocktails are known as ‘Lady Killer’ cocktails.
MC: Lady Killer… That’s why the old women in the area often gives the two of you sweets all the time
Caipiroska: Well, I wouldn’t call us ‘Lady Killers,’ we’re more of ‘Madam Killers.’
Bellini: I wonder if I would be able to find someone to support me if I was a Madam Killer cocktail
Caipirihna: Probably not. You wouldn’t be a Madam Killer, you’d be a Lady Killer. But even so, it would be impossible for you to become a Lady Killer overnight.
Caipiroska: It’s true. If you became a Lady Killer now, then you wouldn’t be yourself anymore.
MC: So if you were to become something other than a Bellini, then you wouldn’t be you.
Bellini: hmph… how rude of you to hit me with reality like that
