Chapter 21: Shining Shadow

Tom Collins: I’m sorry for making everyone worry.

MC: Me too. I’m sorry for trying to tackle everything by myself.

Emerald Mist: Not at all. Its good the two of you made up. Sorry for doing this now, but about that agenda I sent to everyone the other day...

*step step step*

Grandpa: Well well, I thought it was crowded in here today... Everything okay? Why is everyone here?

MC: Grandpa!? Where in the world did you go!

Tom Collins: Master! Welcome home

Grandpa: Hohoho, there was something I needed to go out looking for. Speaking of which, there’s something I need to speak with you all about. Is it okay if I tell you all here?

Emerald Mist: Please, after you.

Grandpa: It’s not a very good announcement, but I think the people from the research facility may be close by.

Tom Collins: The people from the research facility... Who was it?

Grandpa: I’m not exactly sure who. But I am certain someone is here in Japan

Emerald Mist: Why would someone from the research facility be here now?

Grandpa: I don’t understand their reasons either. It doesn’t seem there hadn’t been a reason until now, but it’s probably best for us to take some precautions

Kamikaze: Because those guys are really unpredictable, right. It might be best for us to take care of ourselves even outside the bar

MC: These are the people that used you all for those experiments, right? It’s terrifying

Sidecar: Rather than terrifying, we just don’t understand them. We don’t know what they’re thinking. We don’t know what they’ll do to us.

Grandpa: You too, please be careful. These people will stop at nothing to achieve their goals.

MC: Got it. (I replied without thinking about it, but I don’t know exactly what to watch out for)

Kamikaze: Do you know around what time they came?

Grandpa: It appears to have been a few months ago. However, it seems they are erasing all signs of them being here, so I just learned about them recently.

Grasshopper: Well isn’t that suspicious! All these acts of secrecy going on just so we don’t notice them...

Sidecar: It really is eerie. I wonder what they’re planning if they’re covering their own tracks like that.

MC: But that’s... I thought you were going to help us...

Grandpa: The master of the bar is you. Just you. As the master, the answer that everyone who works there gives should be your answer as well. Don’t you think so?

MC: But I don’t have any confidence in myself...

Tom Collins: Did you forget what we told you yesterday? We will always be your friends.

MC: Right! I also said I would be the same for you!

Grandpa: It seems a lot happened while I was away. Please do your best. I believe in you. That is why I will leave this problem to you, and perhaps go on a hot spring vacation.
