Chapter 16: Turning the Key
MC: I’m home
Grandpa: I’m so glad you’re safe. I was worried, you left so suddenly.
Emerald Mist: We heard the situation from master. I’m sorry for putting so much blame on you.
Martini: Sorry for the misunderstanding. Your leaving was your way of taking responsibility.
Emerald Mist: When I noticed the key to the backdoor was worn out, I realized it was my fault for putting off getting it replaced. You're not the only one to blame. That’s why it was a terrible idea for you to disappear like that.
MC: I’m sorry for making you worry.
Bellini: I’m so glad you came back. Since we’re off today, I thought I would just roll around in bed all day, but even doing that didn’t feel right.
Tom Collins: Maybe it’s best for you to stay here for the time being.
MC: You mean like on standby?
Sidecar: Did you forget that you were almost kidnapped earlier?
Tom Collins: Currently, we don’t know who the culprit is or what their motives are. Whether this was a prank, revenge, or something else, we don’t know. We also don’t know if we want to keep you working. Considering what happened at the park..
MC: But then I can’t do anything even though it’s my fault
Moulin Rouge: Hey, even if you want to take responsibility for it, we’ll think of other things to do
Emerald Mist: I’m going to sew your mouth shut if you plan on saying another stupid joke like that
Moulin Rouge: No, I’m being honest! I have a favor I’d like to ask of her.
Martini: You mean about our budget for repair costs and reopening again, and trying to get more customers to the next reopening.
Moulin Rouge: you took the words right out of my mouth
Bellini: That all sounds so difficult. I want to help, but I’ll be busy laying in bed. Good luck!
Sidecar: Bellini, your job can be watching over her. You can at least do that, right?
MC: Why do I need to be watched over?
Tom Collins: Your behavior is a little spontaneous.. like suddenly running away from the house.
MC: …I resent that.
Emerald Mist: We’ve reached the end of this conversation. We must do everything we intend to do! We'll break off into 2 teams; one will search for the culprit while the other will repair the bar. We’ll move ahead to make it one efficient reopening.
Martini: We don’t know whose job is whose, so everyone just pick what you want.
Tom Collins: Let’s rest for today, and begin preparing tomorrow.
Manhattan: They said to divide into either the search party or the repair party, but I wonder if I should join the search party? I can help with several things that way.
Kiss in the Dark: I wonder if they will allow me to do that as well. Something smells fishy about all this.
Screwdriver: Then I’ll choose the repair crew. If anything is broken, leave it to me!
Tequila Sunrise: We’ll be the repair crew with the most confidence in our strength and the best at our labor.
Blue Moon: There are different places that need help, but I think I’d be best for the two of you to go with the search party. Those people might be extremely strong and tough for all we know. Although I don’t know if everything at the bar is all related to her kidnapping.
Manhattan: It’s important for the two of you go in together if someone ends up getting hurt. So let’s decide based on our strengths.
Tequila Sunrise: Guess we can’t resist if it’s been decided. Even if it’s just for 1 day, let’s get all this finished so we can go back to work!
Everyone: Yeah!
MC: Good morning. Huh, where is everyone?
Grasshopper: Good morning. About that, everyone went out to do repairs, look for the culprit, and a few other errands they had to run. Yep.
MC: Already?? It’s only 7 am??
Bellini: It seemed like no one could hold still this morning.
Adonis: I was also thinking about what it was I could do for you. I thought about it, and right now, the best thing I could do was be at your side and protect you.
Grasshopper: Ah, since preparations have already been made for breakfast, please eat. As -As for me, I’m going to be in my room drawing pictures, so if you need anything please let me know
MC: Thank you. I’m going to do what I can for today.
