Chapter 14: Starting Point

Grandpa: Why did you try shying away from everything so quickly?

MC: I’m sorry. I thought I was the one responsible for the bar getting broken into. I need to do something.

Grandpa: Just because you feel that way, it doesn’t mean you can behave like that. Even if no one understands, there’s nothing you can do. Right now, you are the manager. If you have any worries, you are to say it to them. Even in moments like this when you can’t calm down.

MC: I’m so sorry. But the person who forgot to lock the bar was…

Grandpa: Yes, you were the cause for the doors being unlocked. But the bad person is the one who broke into the bar. The thief’s way of doing this was extremely aggressive. I can only believe that this deed was done intentionally. Even if the door was locked, I think it is possible they would have just broken down the door and gotten in that way.

MC: Is there someone out there with a grudge against you?

Grandpa: The bar is a place where more people than you think have made memories. In the near future… I must speak with you not only about everyone, but about the bar as well. And about my own sin…

MC: I knew it… After just a few months. I wonder if the bar will go out of business now. It’s so important to everyone and because of me… Because of me, it’s going to go out of business.

Tom Collins: Are you awake? We want to talk about what happened yesterday. Hello?

Tequila Sunrise: Is she not here? Hey! Little lady! We’re coming in! She’s not here. Maybe she went out for a walk after waking up?

Tom Collins: I wish you were right, but look at this

Tequila Sunrise: “I’m terribly sorry. Just like I said, I am cursed. Please don’t look for me.” WHAT?? She doesn’t want us looking for her because she’s running away?

Tom Collins: She’s separating herself from everything and everyone. She has such a strange discourse of action.

MC: (There’s nowhere I can go. If I keep walking around, the sun is going to come up sooner or later. There’s no one I can stay with, and I have no money for a hotel)

Glasses wearing male: I’ve been seeing you a lot lately. What are you doing in a place like this?

MC: Ahaha…. It’s a sad story, but I ran away from home.

Glassed Wearing Male: You ran away…

MC: I’m cursed. No matter where I work, everything always falls apart in the end. Even now, the bar was broken into, and we can’t open up for business.

Glasses Wearing Male: So you weren’t able to open last night, huh?

MC: I’m sorry…I didn’t know you stopped by

Glasses Wearing Male: Don’t sweat it. I just went at a bad time. So you say you ran away… Isn’t your grandfather worried about you?

MC: Maybe. Even though he put up with me and all my problems, I betrayed him like this. I’m a terrible person.

Glasses Wearing Male: He’s very important to you. I can tell just by looking at you. If you were to disappear, everyone would be sad.

MC: All I do is bring misfortune to those around me. It would be better for everyone if I was gone. I’m cursed, remember?

Glasses Wearing male: But even if you weren’t here, there would still be unlucky people in the world. Your grandfather, for example. If his cute granddaughter wasn’t here, what kind of sadness would he have…what kind of hardships…It’s hard just imagining it. He might end up like one of those customers that spends too much money.

MC: I didn’t think about what would happened if I wasn’t here.,

Glasses wearing Male: There's a nice breeze here. You should stay here until you calm down. Well then…

MC: (I didn’t plan on staying the night here, but it’s starting to be that time… All I can do is give up for now. At the very least, I should find a place to sleep a little. *boom* Ah, sorry

Hoodlum 1: Hey, that hurt

Hoodlum 2: You probably broke his arm. Looks like someone needs to give us money to cover the medical bill

MC: I can’t pay that! All I did was bump into him, there’s no way it’s broken!

Hoodlum 2: If you can’t pay, then there’s no use. You’re coming with us

Hoodlum 1: Get over here!

MC: What? Stop! You’re hurting me! Let go!
