Chapter 4: Referee Stop

Martini: I said it before, but we don’t need “regular customers” to be the purpose of chatting.

Tom Collins: I understand that you want to increase sales and customer turnovers. But getting regular customers is important to me.

Martini: But getting those regular customers is becoming an obstacle for us.

Tom Collins: I’m not saying it like that. There are people who keep orders up.

Martini: Yea, I know. But that’s just one part of it. I’m saying that even though I only take one order, you’re continue talking with the customers.

Tom Collins: Maybe rather than coming to enjoy drinking, customers are coming with the purpose of seeing us. And that’s why they’re unable to order. It’s not a host club like you said.

Martini: tsk, even you say that, you’ve become a conversationalist because of the importance of our customers. Since our sales have gone down, the bar is going to close. It’s like we’re counting our chickens before they hatch.

Tom Collins: That’s...

Gimlet: Sorry, we couldn’t help but overhear, but why isn’t anyone stopping you from fighting?

Salty Dog: They’re talking about their feelings to one another, and they’re working on strategies to make up.

Pink Lady: Rather than saying they're talking about their feelings.... They understand what the other is saying, but it looks like they’re just arguing and not getting anything out of this.

Jack Rose: They’ve been glaring at each other since they started. I guess you could say this conflict is more like staring.

Moulin Rouge: The two of them are both stubborn

MC: (I wonder if I did something unnecessary...)

Martini: Ha, so you have no interest in changing your opinion. This was a bust.

Tom Collins: However, even the master thought it was important making a comfortable space for everyone!

Blue Moon: Well, well. I think I’ve had enough of this. From this point on, if we get customers who only come for the sake of talking to us, it’s going to be bad for business.

Gimlet: This may be an extreme thought, but if we get customers who come for the sake of talking with us at the same time we open, and if those customers are the ones staying until we close, then that means we can only distribute sales among them.

Pink Lady: We don’t need to pay any mind to the customers who come just to see Tom Collins, but what if we just lower the amount of time we spend talking to them?

Jack Rose: That’s what I think too. We need to draw the line somewhere. Like cutting the conversation short when we look at what's going on around us. If we do that, then the people who come to the bar just to talk will stop coming sooner or later.

.........

Moulin Rouge: Right... I’m sorry. Maybe we just weren’t able to draw that line.

Tom Collins: Because the customers were enjoying themselves, we lost sight of the original purpose of the bar. We can’t help if people say we are hosts. Martini, I’m sorry. While realizing what you said was right, we became terrible people.

Martini: Yeah, you did. But me too... I’m sorry for calling it a host club.

Blue Moon: But we shouldn't do any cheap business from now, right? It’s our job to provide the best time for our customers.

Gimlet: It seems like we’re going in circles. I don’t want to worry about this.

Martini: You’re just making yourself worry about it.

Tequila Sunrise: It’s okay... I don’t think there is anything to worry about here.

MC: I thought I was doing something useless, I couldn’t stop sweating.

Tom Collins: I’m sorry I made things so unpleasant.

Salty Dog: Okay, now the two of you, make up and shake hands!

Martini: Huh? You’re fucking kidding me. Why do I need to do something so childish?

Tom Collins: This isn’t a fight. We just couldn’t see eye to eye on our business policies.

Salty Dog: But...

Moulin Rouge: You don’t need to do anything like that. The two of you have reached a solution, right?

Tom Collins: About that... Martini, what should we do?

Martini: Right... Ah, I’m going back to my room. I was busy today, and I’m tired.
