Chapter 21: Restart
MC: We will be reopening tomorrow! Please stop by!
Passerby 1: Huh, there’s a bar around here?
Passerby 2: Oh, I saw that bar in a magazine
MC: Yes, that’s us! We will be waiting for your arrival! (We finished making plans for our reopening, now all we can do is hand out fliers. I need to get our customers to come back.) Please take one! We will be reopening our business tomorrow!
Older Gentleman: Excuse me, young lady. May I have one?
MC: Thank you very much! Here you go!
Older Gentleman: I see…your reopening. I’ll be sure to stop by when I have the time. Thank you.
MC: We will be waiting for you! (Right, because there are people like him around, I need to try harder!) Please take one! We are having our reopening tomorrow!
???: Could you hand me one too?
MC: Thank you so much! Tomorrow we will be reopening…. Jack Rose!?
Jack Rose: Don’t “Jack Rose!?” me. If you go out, you need to tell someone before you leave.
Gimlet: We still haven’t caught the culprit yet, and we don’t know if or when they’ll strike again.
Salty Dog: I thought you were taken away again and I was so worried!
MC: Ah, I’m sorry… I guess I forgot to let you all know…
Jack Rose: I’m glad we could find you so easily. We'll lend you a hand since we're worried about you being on your own.
Salty Dog: We’ll hand them out in no time! We open up tomorrow, so please take one!
Jack Rose: I wonder if Tororo will become our spokesdog
Tororo: Woof!
Salty Dog: Please and thank you! We will be reopening from tomorrow!
Jack Rose: Please….Please, take one…
Gimlet: I think we’re doing better than last time, but do you still get nervous when there are a lot of people around?
Jack Rose: I haven’t been feeling that way recently, but I’ve noticed something… Whenever I try to talk to people like Salty Dog does, I’ve noticed that I tend to fumble my words a lot.
Gimlet: So you’re working at fixing your shyness. I think that’s a good thing!
Jack Rose: It’s all thanks to her and Salty Dog.
Salty Dog: Oh, wow! Praise me too!
Gimlet: I guess there’s no way out of this…
Emerald Mist: What are you idiots doing on the side of the street?
Tom Cruise: You’re not at home?
MC: We’re passing out flyers. Since we reopen tomorrow, I wanted people to know, even if it's just a few.
Emerald Mist: You’re kidding me if that’s all you could think about… Whatever, it’s fine. I’ll help out too. It’s best with several people helping.
Female High School Student 1: Oh!! Is that our teacher??
Female High School Student 2: Oh my god, it is! What are you doing here??
Female High School Student 1: I’ll take one! You’re handing out flyers? Please give us one!!
Emerald Mist: I –I'm going to go hand these out over there. I gotta go.
MC: Those high school students, are they Emerald Mist’s students?
Tom Collins: It seems so. Haha it looks like they might have a little crush on him! That must be so hard.
Salty Dog: I’m going to keep handing these out so I don’t lose to Emerald Mist!
MC: You’re really confident in yourself, huh?
Salty Dog: I can really advertise the bar this way! I’m so happy to be helping your grandfather out like this!
MC: You really adore my grandpa, don’t you, Salty dog.
Salty Dog: He’s our lifesaver! I want to repay him so much for all he’s done!
MC: Lifesaver…? (Speaking of which, isn’t that the same thing Tom Collins said before?)
Tom Collins: What’s wrong? Why are you looking at me like that?
MC: Salty Dog called my grandpa a “lifesaver,” and I remember you calling him the same thing, I was just wondering why is that…
Tom Collins: I see…. Maybe it’s best to tell you that story as well. We are able to connect with people outside of us now, but if it wasn’t for your grandfather, we probably would have spent eternity all alone.
MC: What do you mean by that…?
Tom Collins: Ah, I’m sorry but this conversation will take some time, so I’ll tell you later.
MC: Alright, when we go home! For now, let’s hand out these flyers!
